My thoughts:
Wow! What a read. I was pleasantly surprised by the historically themed cozy mystery that features literary geniuses such as Dorothy Parker and William Faulkner. Set in the 1920’s the Algonquin round Table is quite famous for their literary endeavors and for their lives flouting Prohibition and notorious gangs that run New York City. However, when someone ends up dead under their famous table, everyone is suspect. Friends turn against friends and everyone is on edge trying to figure out who was murdered and why.
I personally love books set in the 1920’s. Give me a mystery and some fabulous characters and I know I will be amused. I loved this book! Dorothy Parker’s wit is so amusing and made me laugh in so many different places in this book. I found it really hard to put this one down and I am immediately beginning on the next in this series, You Might as Well Die, as I can’t wait to see what Dorothy and her quirky cohorts get themselves into this go around.
A cute murder mystery where everyone is suspect and there is no lack of clues. This one will leave you guessing until the very end and will leave you with a stitch in your side from all the laughter. Highly recommend this series to lovers of historically based mysteries or even cozy lovers who are looking for a little something outside the normal cozy mystery mold. A great read and one that I was delighted to have read!

I'm glad to see that you like this one. I picked it up a while ago on a whim and it's sitting on one of my TBR piles waiting to be read. Sounds like I might need to move it up the ranks.

I have this one on my shelf waiting to be read. But now you've written a glowing review, I need another historical mystery for the challenge I'm doing, and it would make for a good cozy cull. Perhaps should bump it up my list.
