In My Mailbox (Dec. 3)

This is a cute little meme hosted by The Story Siren.
Bought:

1. Anna Karenina–Leo Tolstoy

I came across this while Christmas shopping at Target and fell in love with the cover. I love Keira Knightley and I imagine she will make a fabulous Anna Karenina in the film adaptation. Once I finish reading this I am going to try to go see the movie.
Bought (for Kindle):

 1. A Night to Remember–Walter Lord
2. Her Highness The Traitor–Susan Higginbotham
3. The Antiquarian–Julian Sanchez
4. The Bloodletter’s Daughter–Linda Lafferty
5. The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie–Muriel Spark
6. War and Peace–Leo Tolstoy
7. The Jeeves Collection–P. G. Wodehose
With the Cyber Monday Kindle deals I bought a lot of books. More so then I normally would, but I couldn’t pass up such good deals. I bought War and Peace separately because I am reading Anna Karenina right now and I am in love with Tolstoy’s writing. It is simply amazing.
Won:

1. Nightshade on Elm Street–Kate Collins (Flower Shop Mystery #13)
2. Written in Stone–Ellery Adams (Books By the Bay Mystery #4)
As I haven’t read any books in either series, I have some catching up to do. Both of these series have been catching my eye for a while now and what better way to acquaint oneself with these than by winning them. Can’t wait to read these. Well, so that’s my haul this week. No library books or review copies received this week, but still I think I picked up some good reads. What did you get this week? Anything good?

  1. You received lots of great books this week. I'm currently reading The Antiquarian and think it's very good, although it is a book to savour rather than rush through. I hope you enjoy the P.G. Wodehouse collection. I love Jeeves!
